Kayla Discovers Selena

Kayla's family recently rented and bought the "Selena" movie on DVD and Kayla and sister Kenna have fallen in love with a star. Of course, they were saddened to find out what happened to this young and rising influence.

Kids need fantastic role models and Selena continues to be that for so many. We loved the way she dreamed and how she cared for her fans and friends. We thought you would like this tribute video found on YouTube (although in Spanish, it shows how much her fans loved her). Visit: www.q-productions.com (the official Selena website).

Kayla's Bookstore: "Froggy Eats Out"

Kayla recently read this book as part of her book reading rewards program. She highly recommends it and says your kids will love it too! Write back and tell her what you thought. Here is a recent review of the book:

On the occasion of Froggy's parents' anniversary, it's time for the family to head for Chez Yum, a hoity-toity restaurant with tablecloths and flower-filled vases. This means trouble. Froggy only has a few rules to remember--"Be neat, be quiet, and don't put your feet on the table"--but it's absolutely not that simple. Froggy fidgets, shakes salt on his hand and licks it, bangs his spoon on the table, flips his spoon (bonk! oops!), pulls petals off flowers, sucks on sugar cubes (and ice cubes), and then, of course, simply must flop around singing. Just as he's getting down to actually eating, he spies his pretty classmate Frogilina, a guest star from Froggy's First Kiss. This doesn't help matters. As an embarrassed Froggy ducks under the tablecloth, spaghetti and fly sauce goes, well, flying. At that, the whole family gives up and heads to a local diner for burgers and flies. Youngsters will giggle out loud at the oh-so-familiar stunts (and trademark Froggy sound effects) of an irrepressible frog faced with the dreaded Fancy Dinner. This fine addition to the much-loved Froggy series could serve as a lighthearted way to approach table etiquette, but mostly it's just good messy fun. "Young Bucks" on Child Entrepreneurship, a Must Read for Parents of Kids

Kayla (7) has been on a journey into entrepreneurship for several years, developing her future interests. We would love to hear from parents who want to inspire their kids to think like millionaires. Kayla now has several interests in development from modeling, to acting, do becoming a song writer, screenwriter, and director.

Her mom and dad are reading this book together to help inspire their young children to develop the ability to dream and develop strategic thought. Her parents recently purchased a journal for Kayla at the cost of $8 and now she is in business. This journal is to be used for her to write songs, keep track of books she has read, and screenplay shorts she has developed.

Her parents pay her $5 per 2-page song, $10 per 10-page screenplay, and have developed a pay per book read model, starting at $1 going to $20 per book (the more complex books pay more). Kayla is not on an allowance, she must earn her money, just like a business owner. To add dimenstion to this business, her dad will convert a screenplay into a mini-film to be placed on the web. Kayla will cast and direct her own movies. So, stay tuned! She is excited about her next venture!

Buy this book today and read it as a family! Your child could be the next millionaire! Visit: www.TheMarketingVortex.com for more marketing ideas.
