Kayla is being considered for a lead role in "El Nacional". Kayla would play Angela Martinez (age 6), a vocal, emotional, and outspoken young girl in a family of 5. She is excited about the opportunity; however, there are two other young girls being considered and the director needs to narrow his pick based on their ability to be believable and be a part of a the controversial subject matter dealing with immigration. The film will be challenging with emotional ups and downs. The young director, Baldemar Rodgriguez, Adelante Productions, seems to be an emerging star based on his endorsements, passion for film, and his accolades in the Houston market and the emerging independent film scene.
