Many kids have never made their own pizza. Kayla and her sister Kenna didn't realize that pizza can be made at home. Her parents wanted to demonstrate how businesses get started. Kayla and Kenna took a tour of the local grocery store to price and pick their ingredients which included a Chef Boyardee Pizza kit which had the crust and sauce, but they added their own ingredients.
Some of the additional ingredients included Ragu sauce for extra sauce, pizza mozzerella cheese, onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, canadian bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and spanish olives.
Kayla and Kenna also took a tour of a local Pizza Hut, where the manager allowed them to go back behind the counter to see the highly organized production facility in action. The manager told his guest that they had made over 500 pizzas the night before and that their ovens can spit out ready cooked pizzas in 8 minutes flat. They box them up and ship them out to homes all over the neighborhood from that location. He said pizza making is a very good business.
Well-armed with their new found appreciation for pizza making, Kayla embarked on her very first pizza that included light sauce, chopped onions, mushrooms and Canadian bacon. They definately liked their homemade pizza just as much as their call-in pizza. Bon apetite!
