Speaking Engagement at Champions Kids Camp

Kayla Renee Valadez will speak at www.ChampionsKidsCamp.org 8/5/09 to a group of over 130 kids who have traumatically lost a loved one (typically a parent or close relative), suffered severe mental or physical abuse or a devastating illness or physical deformity. She hopes to inspire them as an example of how God can make sense of their personal struggles. She will be interviewed by one of the coordinators and supporters, Kirby Lammers, about her interests in acting, child entrepreneurship, and just being a hopeful kid in America. Kayla is looking forward to speaking to these kids and welcomes the opportunity to help lift their hopes. She will hand out this photo and sign it for them as a keepsake - a day she hopes they will remember.

"We Like to Move It!" Birthday Message for Taylor

Kayla and Kenna participate in a video message to an internet friend Taylor (4). Taylor's mom was sad that many of her friends could not attend her birthday party, because they all had a stomach virus. Her mom was undeterred and had a party anyway with cake and presents. Kayla wanted to have a "virtual party" for her and we created this birthday video. Taylor loved it! She didn't know she was the subject of the video until she watched again. Interestingly, her mother had purchased Mexican style pastories to celebrate her birthday, so the Mexican dancing fit nicely with the "Fiesta-like" theme.

Special thanks also to the Hispanic Business Forum of Bryan/College Station and its members for a wonderfully memorable evening recognizing accomplishments of leaders in the community. Although, our video had nothing to do with this event, the dancers really helped us to wish Taylor a very happy birthday.
