Kayla's Sister Kenna Sings for Her First Live Audience

Kenna (6) has decided to follow in her older sister's footsteps. She has decided to try acting and now singing. Both are performing at their school talent show today, but had an opportunity to test their nerves The Roger Schools Carnival last weekend. Kenna is featured here with a live band singing "Do-Re-Mi". Kayla's First Live Performance - "Crazier"

Kayla has been preparing for her school talent show scheduled for 4.17.10. She has been taking singing lessons with veteran voice coach and music producer Jane Vandiver (www.StarSignersStudio.com) for the past three weeks. She was given an opportunity to sing live for about 150 people for the first time 4.11.10 at The Rogers School. She was nervous, but as soon as the music started planning, she was ready. She sang "Crazier" by Taylor Swift.

Kayla Takes an Acting Class with Joanna Sanchez, Actress and Coach

Acting is a skill that can be perfected with further training. Kayla enjoys acting for several reasons which includes learning confidence, poise, salesmanship, memory, wit, and the joy of seeing one's work on screen or on the stage when complete.

So, opportunities to be trained by industry professionals are valued. Kayla recently attended an incredible workshop lead by Joanna Sanchez who has offices in New York and Los Angeles.

Kayla said "It was the best acting class I have ever taken, it was Ka-Jang! (meaning well worth it)".

Ms. Sanchez actually went into over-time, delivering more than was promised. The actors in the class enjoyed the extra time and the experience shared by Joanna and her love of fellow actors.

Kayla (9) and Kenna (6) enjoyed their first professional singing lessons with veteran voice coach and performer Jane Vandiver of Star Singers Studio.

Jane coached the kids on proper breathing, stretching, voice exercises, protecting their young vocal chords, and learning to use their voice instruments in key and on pitch.

She was very friendly and fun with the kids and helped them to discover a new appreciation for music and their voice potential.
